Hello tumblr i have moved to queens town, new zealand. I’m currently living in the base hostel i got my job as a food and beverage attendant at coronet peak so that means free season pass for coronet peak, mt hutt and the remarkables fuck yeah!
i have made some friends one is named took heng he is from malaysia and his english name is ethan but we have all nick named him chang hehe asian domination! another is named gareth tyler he is from wales very tall and quite funny. another is a crazy irish guy named dave he is 28 and from mayo ireland. I took a bus to the warehouse in frankton to get some things and i met a lovely girl named sophie she is also from wales. I have been very very drunk every night since i got to this place only because there is not all that much to do when you have to money. i have been participating in daily activities because we get free drink vouchers for the altitude bar which is the backpackers bar. it is quite fun down there they are always having competitions to keep everyone entertained on thursday night i competed in the canon bungy swing competition where dave had to be tied to a bungy rope and run from one end of the bar to the other to grab a glass of orange juice which he then had to run back to pass to me to chug and the catch to the game was we were being timed and every item of clothing we took off before the actual race was one second removed from our final time. we lost by half a second :( it was quite funny. Also on thursday we walked up the mountain i can’t remember its name but we hiked up the mountain instead of paying for the gondola because we are all too broke. the view was incredible from up there it looks out over the entire of queenstown/otago and the breath taking lakes. it was definitely worth the steep climb, stupid me wore a dress hahaha we ate $2 pies and i also had an ice cream before sneaking onto the gondola so we didn’t have to walk back down the mountain. when i first arrived in queenstown i stayed at a place called the central ridge hotel where no one was actually booked in to stay so they freely upgraded me into the honeymoon suite which had a giant spa bath and a lovely view the people there were very friendly and made me breakfast each morning on request. i woke up early on thursday morning to go to my interview where i met ethan on the bus on the way up to coronet i also met some other cool people in our group but have not seen them since maybe i will get to know them if they got there jobs. i will continue telling you what i have been up to maybe tomorrow as I’m very tired so good bye for now.
